Site Reliability Engineer
1. RESPONSIBILITY
Build software to help operations and support teams.Fix support escalation issues.Optimize on-call rotations and processes.Document “tribal” knowledge.Conduct post-incident reviews.Toil on reliability and durability measure.Detail out and refine higher level architecture decisions into a lower level design.
2. ACCOUNTABILITY
Be responsible for the complete lifecycle of software development, including designing, prototyping, testing, maintenance and technical support.Share code/service ownership with the software developers.Reduce costs of cloud budgets.Establish and enforce architectural principles, define interface guidelines, identify the state of art technologies and patterns to use, and increase the talent density of the team.
3. AUTHORITY
To be a part of the software team, bring your best software engineering, leadership, partnering and learning skills with you. Lead the research on specific topics, experiment with various technologies, and provide recommendations based on your findings.
4. REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related area (equivalent work experience will be considered).3+ years’ experiences in Kubernetes or EKS.A strong communicator who works well in a collaborative environment and an excellent problem-solver.Proficient in NoSQL database, i.e. MongoDB.Proficient in Prometheus and Kibana.Experience in automated testing platforms and pipeline.Excellent knowledge of AWS or other clouds.Proactively identify technical debt and product areas that require attention or improvement at the architecture level.Deep understanding of IoT technologies, Microservices and Cloud.Experience in IoT products development is a plus!Experience in tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Git is a plus!Experience in Agile is a plus!
