In the performance of his/her responsibilities, the Reliability Engineer provides expertise and leadership in the following aspects of Reliability:
Main Responsibilities
1.Reliability Master Plan. Develop and implement a reliability master plan, manage the hopper of improvement
2.Equipment Specification and Design, act as the Reliability representative on all new equipment projects and equipment modifications to ensure that full life cycle costing, reliability and maintainability are considered as part of any designs.
3.Predictive and Preventive Maintenance, development and refinement of the preventive/predictive maintenance program in a systematic, professional manner coordinating all efforts with equipment custodians and maintenance management to ensure the program is properly approved and endorsed by both departments
4.Analysis of Equipment Performance, implementing ways of reducing the need for maintenance and ultimately eliminating the occurrence of failures. Repetitive failures are identified and the PM is refined by dynamic and relevant
5.Perform FMEA, RCM & RCFA, Perform Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)as specified by the Reliability Master Plan for the facility
6.Reliability Reporting and Communication
7.Monitor, evaluate and audit all aspects of the Reliability Process in the facility on a set frequency
8.coach members of the organization in the area of Reliability
Prerequisite Requirements
1.The Reliability Engineer must be experienced in management of site projects, implementation of new initiatives, facilitation of major TPM events, and coordination of multiple work groups toward a common goal.
2.have a good professional and working relationship with plant management and be a respected member of the site with a proven track record of successful project implementations and initiatives.
3.have a full understanding of the concepts of Reliability Excellence and have a good understanding of the principles and tools applied in the management of change.
4.have the ability to influence others at all levels of the organization.
5.be objective oriented and able to apply initiative and creativity to the resolution of any issues that may arise.
6.be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project
7.strong administrative and communication skills.
8.Work experience in multiple disciplines, such as Maintenance and Engineering or Engineering and Operations, is highly desirable.
