目前在北京,上海,深圳可以进行CRE考试,2008年CRE考试每年有2次考试,3月和7月。如果你的能力够的话可以尝试做做CRE题目。目前在美国地区得到广泛应用,在我国台湾和香港地区也有很多大公司要求CRE,此外,像国外Dell,Intel,hp,Sunmicro等公司有要求ODM可靠性工程师取得CRE资格证书。一般来说取得CRE证书后比没有取得证书薪资方面回增加2~3倍,目前国内正在逐步开始CRE的培训。

CRE是美国质量学会(ASQ)下的多个认证中的一种,简介如下:
注册可靠度工程师(CRE)
注册可靠度工程师是指了解性能评估和预测如何改进产品/体系的安全性、可靠性、可维护性的基本原理的专业人员。CRE知识大纲和应用的技术包括,但不限于:设计和控制;预测;估计和分摊方法;失败模式和效率分析;计划操作、可靠度测验和磁场失效的分析,包括数学模型;了解在可靠度中的人为因素;以及在产品的整个生命周期中开展和管理对于失败分析,设计和性能改进以及可靠性项目管理的可靠度信息系统的能力。要求:必须具备注册可靠度工程师知识大纲(BOK)所涵盖的一个或多个领域8年的工作经验(年限减免:中专证书,减免1年;大专证书,减免2年;学士学位,减免4年;硕士或博士学位,减免5年)。至少3年担任决策者的经验。每年至少有两次CRE考试,分别在3月和10月。
考试:
申请人必须通过笔试,测试其对知识大纲(BOK)的理解和掌握。考试时间为4小时,150道选择题。只有英文试卷。

CRE是对可靠性工程师整体水平的评估,它不是对可靠性试验能力或理论水平的一种要求.换句话说一个在知名企业干了10年以上对产品试验了如指掌,也不一定可以取得,它主要是去检验一个工程师面对可靠性方面的一些问题和各种问题的应对能力评估,比如它会问到一些可靠性方面的,testplan如何制定?可靠性工程师在公司是扮演什么角色等等问题.附件有一份CRE的BOK.里面有许多关于CRE工程师提问的问题。
